Home Visits

Doctor's bagThe doctors are very busy and will only visit you at home if you are terminally ill, truly housebound or if your condition would be made worse by travelling to the surgery.

If requesting a visit, please give the receptionist as much information as possible so that the doctor can assess the urgency of your request.

Usually the duty doctor will telephone to discuss the problem and sometimes another member of the health care team may be asked to visit.

The doctor may ask you to attend the Surgery if clinically indicated.

N.B. it is not the Surgery’s responsibility to arrange transport to the surgery.

Please telephone the Surgery before 10.00am where possible.
