Just an update on some of the changes at your GP Practice ….
Please phone 01782 304611 to book a telephone or video appointment and to order your repeat prescription. We have 10 phone lines which are very busy...please bear with us. There will be an update shortly on how more of our patients can order repeat prescriptions on line.
If you need to be examined, the Doctor or Nurse will ask you to come in. Ring the bell to let us know you are here. If you can, come alone but carers are welcome. The waiting room is limited so we may ask you to wait outside / in your car.
Please wear a face covering when visiting the surgery. A face covering does not need to be a medical mask, it can be a homemade fabric mask or a scarf. Face coverings are not compulsory for children under 11 or anyone who has breathing problems.

Please continue to order your medication on line or use the outside practice mailbox. You will not be able to collect your prescription from the Practice. Please inform us of your choice of chemist and we will send your prescription electronically.
Routine annual health check clinics have been suspended. However the following are ESSENTIAL you should attend your appointment.
INR (Warfarin), Baby Immunisations, Zolodex Pneumonia, Shingles, Wound Checks, Urgent ECG, Smear Tests
We will keep you updated. If you have a mobile phone please ensure we have the correct number so we can send you text messages.

FLU SEASON 2020/2021
As you will have seen in the press, this year the Flu Jab Campaign is going to be the biggest ever. At Werrington Surgery there will be an extra 1000+ patients who will require a flu jab. We are expecting our delivery of flu vaccinations for patients over 65 year old patient and in an ‘at risk’ category (if you had free flu jab last year) in September, with the vaccination for the 50 - 64 year olds following later, in the Autumn.
How we do this is going to be a real challenge as we have to limit the footfall of patients into the Practice. We will prioritise the most vulnerable patients first. Please do not phone the practice yet to book a flu jab … as soon as we have more information we will let you know.
VACANCY - RECEPTIONIST
28 hours over 4 days
circa £9 per hour
We have an opportunity for a receptionist to join our very busy team. You will have great customer care skills and ideally call centre experience. The role will be varied and flexibility is a must ! You will provide a professional, approachable first point of contact for patients, medical professionals and the public contacting the practice by telephone and in person. You will be directing patients to the most appropriate health service / clinician.

We have an enthusiastic, highly trained and efficient team working within the practice and in the community. We serve the whole of Werrington as well as its surrounding villages and currently care for almost 8,000 patients.
We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and NHS Health Checks.
